with the National Human Genome Research Institute

During my senior year at Stevenson University, the biology and design departments had the opportunity to partner with the National Human Genome Research Institute.

Biology students were responsible
for verifying and science of the game while design students were inc charge
of visuals. Working in teams of two or three students, we were tasked with creating an educational game to the introduce the complex science of CRISPR to middle school students.
The goal was to build a foundation
of understanding to promote an early interest in science.

My game utilized characters to visually represent the important elements involved in the science: 
Cas9, RNA, target sequences, and viruses.
